Hey do you think we can run one of these LLMs on an iphone?
Well if we used a stripped down model and quantized a bit we might be able to.

..... Three months later

Well we got it running give it a try.
No you can't talk to it, you can only type because voice recognition is too slow.
No you have wait, it's kind of slow in responding, it's only the one billion model.
Oh and China won't allow AI developed outside of China so we can't use it in that market.

This looks bad, I have an idea! Let's just use the OpenAI api, that won't require any resources and it will be fast enough. We'll use the AliBaba AI in China.

Yea let's ship that, nobody will know the difference.
