I particularly enjoyed how you talked about agency and working at a "startup" and just working out what needed to be done and doing it.

Thank you @Daniel Buckmaster! I really enjoyed telling my story and hopfully encouraging others to reflect on their career path and see that there are many ways to add value in an organization.

I'm loving my role and being at Oxide thus far. There's so much work to do and I have a roadmap ready to go for myself and whoever joins the team next!

Happy to answer any follow-up questions.

A question I came away with was how much of what you do is dealing with direct customer requests/needs/issues vs. the more forward looking things like delivering on that roadmap? I.e. what’s the balance between what the customer tells you they need now and what you think the customers will need soon?

This episode of the Oxide and Friends was fantastic. @Matthew Sanabria do you mind if I DM you some questions (moreso personal to my situation, less general questions)? I was :eyes: when I saw you in here :D

The balance is always in flux honestly at this stage of Oxide's growth. Blocking bugs and features for customers tend to take priority especially if they can be shipped rather quickly. The longer term roadmap items are meant to be broken up into smaller pieces of work so progress can be made on them during the general work week. To give you a better idea here's what an average week looks like of meetings and work.

I mentioned this on the podcast episode but since I'm east coast US and Oxide has a strong west coast US presence meetings don't start until 12:30 local time for me. So depending on how early I wake up and whether I'm going to the gym or whatever I have a lot of time focus time in the morning.
